Pristine Praia da Ingrina beach near Sagres
Praia da Ingrina beach is a tiny, sandy oasis of calm located in Raposeira, in the Vila do Bispo region of the western Algarve near Sagres, the Portuguese “end of the world.”
Surrounding the beach are picturesque cliffs and green belts stretching all the way to the beach. To the right of the beach is the hard-to-reach Praia do Barranco beach and to the left , the surf-loving Praia do Zavial beach.
A pedestrian Fishermen’s Trail, Trilho dos Pescadores, which is part of the famous Rota Vincentina, runs through Praia da Ingrina beach.
On the beach you will find a restaurant, which is open in season, and free parking.
Incredible Ingrina caves in the western Algarve
The Ingrina sea caves are part of the unspoiled natural park Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. Visiting the caves is only possible from ocean level which makes for sensational kayaking. The area around Praia da Ingrina beach is great for fans of wildlife. Here you can admire various types of birds and rich underwater life.
Canoe tour of Ingrin caves
Here are the details of the Ingrina Caves kayak tour with Fabio from South Kayaks Sagres.
- The excursion is an approximately 2.5 hour kayaking trip starting at Praia da Ingrina beach to the hard to reach from land level by what is treated as the secret Praia do Barranco beach.

- During the trip you will see beautiful purple caves, various rock formations and marine life with your guide Fabio, who is a local marine expert from Sagres and a former Portuguese bodyboard champion.

- This is a SLOW style tour focusing on soaking up the environment and having fun in a small group.

- As Praia da Ingrina is part of a scenic park, few companies are allowed to practice water tourism which makes it an unexploited place without crowds of tourists or numerous boats allowing you to fully contemplate your surroundings in peace and quiet.
